No Way Mirror

Ryan Collins

     for You

Wherever this finds you, obliterated by life

& December, the trees raging furious limbs

at the world’s terrible everything, arriving

just in time for xmas. Deliver us from these

Amazon deliveries, from delivering ourselves

teeth & bones to the debt-slobbering maw

of capital, pockets turned inside out & knees

bleeding. When the throb grows too loud

& blinding, don’t bend. Listen for the gusts

approaching & swallow all the breath you need

to carry yourself across the glass punched out

of these broken window days that, for now,

you look but can’t see thru. But out there,

in the nothing, a radiance awaits you. I swear.
